AAON is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer III to provide advanced technical expertise in HVAC system applications, design, and customized solutions. You will lead intricate projects, collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams, and mentor junior engineers to elevate technical excellence.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 5+ years of applications engineering experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant engineering field.
5+ years of experience in applications engineering or related technical field.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and thermodynamic principles.
Experience interpreting complex technical specifications and designs.

Responsibilities

Lead technical evaluation and application of HVAC systems for complex projects.
Analyze customer specs and design constraints to develop optimized solutions.
Provide advanced engineering guidance for custom configurations.
Independently manage large or complex application projects from concept to delivery.
Serve as primary technical resource for escalations and troubleshooting.
Support sales with technical presentations and customer interactions.
Review technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Contribute to product development from customer feedback and experience.
Mentor junior engineers and assist in development of standards and training.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve product performance.
