Job summary

AAON is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, test, and support electrical systems for HVAC equipment. You will develop reliable electrical solutions, support product development, and ensure compliance with standards in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

The role emphasizes independent problem solving, interface with manufacturing, and improving performance while delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience; HVAC experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems for HVAC products.
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
• Analyze and resolve electrical issues in development and production environments.
• Maintain and update engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams for system integration.
• Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements for functionality and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement in product design, quality, and cost reduction.
• Assist with new product development and product enhancement projects.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and field service teams.
• Support compliance with electrical codes and standards (UL, NEC).
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
