Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an HV Testing Technician – Level 3 to manage testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting in substations and PV facilities. This role is based in Lubbock, TX or Bakersfield, CA with regional travel. You will oversee site testing, supervise junior technicians, and ensure safety and compliance across projects.

Applicants should have 7+ years of high/medium voltage testing experience and strong knowledge of NETA, MTS, and ATS standards. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA, MTS, and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with a variety of test equipment.
• Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise site testing, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting as directed by management.
• Perform site testing, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and energized electrical work following safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Lead and mentor Level I/II technicians on projects.
