Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects. You will provide oversight to the design team and perform engineering to support EPC proposals, drawing on a strong background in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering. The ideal candidate has extensive HV substation or transmission line experience, a B.S.

or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, and a P.E. license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electric utility engineering for HV substation projects.
• B.S. or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• P.E. license required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical utility engineering and construction standards.
• Experience with project controls and estimates.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design of high voltage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regs including safety and environment.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
