Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects for our energy sector teams in the United States. The role focuses on supervising the design team, supporting EPC proposals, and ensuring technical integrity from concept through construction. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electric utility engineering, a B.S.

in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), and a P.E. license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in electric utility engineering for high voltage substation projects.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (or higher).
• P.E. license required.
• Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering with solid fundamentals.
• Knowledge of industry standards: ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, etc.
• Experience with external customers and collaboration with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
• Uphold quality control and ensure accuracy of deliverables.
