CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer to lead HV substation design and serve as a Regional Technical Leader. You will guide project delivery, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence across the Power and Energy practice.

The role emphasizes leadership, client service, and growth of engineering talent, with locations in several US offices and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in electrical disciplines.
• PE license or eligibility required.
• 15 years of related experience in power delivery and substations.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects from 230kV to 345kV.
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) and technical authority for substation physical design.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables and calculations for quality.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from planning to startup.
• Develop engineering standards and drive continuous improvement.
