CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide both technical and organizational leadership within our growing Power and Energy practice. This role combines advanced engineering expertise in High Voltage (HV) substation design with responsibility for leading, developing, and growing a team of engineering professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 15 years of related experience in substations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects 230kV–345kV.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and technical authority for substation physical design.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables and calculations for quality and standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from planning through startup for integrated delivery.
• Drive technical excellence through standards development and continuous improvement.
