Job summary

Quality Technology Services, LLC (QTS) seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to support design and execution of utility infrastructure for data center campuses. You will lead HV substation design life cycle under EPC contracts and collaborate with energy leaders, utilities, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• FE/EIT or Professional Engineer preferred.
• 10+ years in substation engineering or related field.
• Proficient in substation design software and equipment.
• Knowledge of 15kV–500kV equipment and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design life cycle of high voltage substations under EPC contracts, including studies and construction deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance for design, development, and installation of substations.
• Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning of substation equipment.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to meet timelines and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for substation projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Provide training to junior engineers and field personnel.
