Job summary

I & S Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Physical Substation Engineer to lead high-voltage substation physical packages, including layouts, bus work, grounding, conduit and equipment placement.

This full-time role in Philadelphia, PA requires a PE license, 5+ years of substation design experience, and the ability to coordinate with clients, utilities and internal teams while ensuring safety, reliability and constructability.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus and PE license.
• Minimum 5+ years leading high‑voltage substation physical design.
• Experience with grounding, lighting, and conduit layouts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review complete physical design packages for HV substations per IEEE/ANSI/ NEC/NESC.
• Lead client coordination, reviews, and approvals of design deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project design hours and milestones.
