Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Senior Project Manager HV to lead high-voltage scopes from early design through energization and turnover. You will collaborate across a matrixed organization and with external partners to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective gas projects while maintaining clear accountability for role requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of high-voltage design, construction, commissioning, or project-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project execution, schedules, budgets, risk, safety, and documentation.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve complex issues.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead substations, switchyards, transformers, and related HV facilities.
• Develop and maintain project execution plan, schedule, budget, and risk register.
• Define scopes, RFPs, bidder evaluations, clarifications, and contract awards.
• Act as Owner's representative with EPCs, OEMs, utilities, and regulators.
• Coordinate Development, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
• Oversee design reviews, constructability, value engineering, and safety compliance.
• Track long-lead equipment, logistics, and turnover to Operations.
