Job summary

Umbilical Advanced is seeking an experienced HV/MV Electrical Engineer to take an owner-side role across HV/MV power systems for a rapidly expanding data center portfolio in the United States. The role covers utility interconnection, substations and MV distribution, with responsibilities for protection coordination and relay settings.

You will review relay schemes, support SCADA/automation, and coordinate with utilities, EPCs and engineering partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in Protection & Controls / Power Systems.
• Experience across data centers, utilities, industrial power or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of protection coordination and relay settings.
• Experience with SEL or other major protection relay platforms.
• HV/MV substation and distribution experience.
• PE/EIT, SCADA/automation, DNP3, IEC 61850, BESS or onsite generation experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review relay settings, protection studies, coordination and control schemes.
• Support substation automation, SCADA and protection systems.
• Work with utilities, EPCs, consultants and engineering partners.
• Support testing, commissioning and energization.
• Investigate protection events and system misoperations.
• Help develop engineering standards for a rapidly expanding data center portfolio.
