Job summary

SB Energy is seeking an HV Electrical Engineer to own and deliver HV/MV electrical engineering for hyperscale data center campuses. You will manage HV substations, MV distribution, transformer sizing, and utility interconnections, working with the HV Lead Engineer and project teams to ensure reliability and grid compatibility.

The role requires strong knowledge of power systems, protection schemes, SCADA, and coordination with utilities/ISOs.

Qualifications

• BS EE in Power Systems from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years in power systems engineering for HV/MV projects.
• Experience with HV substations, MV distribution, and interconnections.

Responsibilities

• Own HV/MV electrical engineering scope for data center campuses.
• Design and review HV substations, feeder routing, and transformer sizing.
• Coordinate with utilities and ISO/RTO for interconnections.
• Develop high-reliability architectures (N+1, 2N).
• Review protection, SCADA, grounding, and communication systems.
• Support commissioning and energization of HV/MV systems.
