Job summary

Talanto is seeking an HV Electrical Engineer to own and deliver HV/MV electrical scope for hyperscale data center projects, including substations, interconnections, and grid integration. You will work with the HV Lead Engineer to ensure reliable, scalable electrical systems from concept through commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years in power systems, either a BSEE or higher, with a preference for MS and PE. Travel and collaboration with utilities and EPCs are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
• Experience with HV substations, MV distribution, transmission lines and interconnections.
• ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering; MS and PE are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own HV/MV electrical scope for large data center projects from concept through commissioning.
• Review HV substations, interconnections, bus configurations and protection settings.
• Lead HV/MV design for reliability, redundancy, and grid integration.
• Coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain HV/MV design standards and guidelines.
