Job summary

Umbilical Advanced is seeking an experienced HV/MV Electrical Engineer to take an owner-side role across HV/MV power systems for a rapidly expanding data center portfolio in the United States. The role covers utility interconnection, substations and MV distribution, with responsibilities for protection coordination and relay settings.

You will review relay schemes, support SCADA/automation, and coordinate with utilities, EPCs and engineering partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in Protection & Controls / Power Systems.
• Experience across data centers, utilities, industrial power or other mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of protection coordination and relay settings.
• Experience with SEL or other major protection relay platforms.
• HV/MV substation and distribution experience.
• PE/EIT, SCADA/automation, DNP3, IEC 61850, BESS or onsite generation experience would be advantageous.

I'm currently working with a rapidly growing AI / data center infrastructure business that is expanding its mission-critical power infrastructure across the US.

They're looking for a HV/MV Electrical Engineer to take an owner-side role across HV/MV power systems, supporting everything from utility interconnection and substations through to MV distribution.

What you'll be doing:
