Job summary

JLL seeks a Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer to lead design of data center electrical infrastructure, including high voltage systems, substations, and on-site generation. You will drive system architectures and coordinate with utilities for large-scale projects.

The role requires deep MV/HV expertise, leadership, and ability to oversee from concept to commissioning across hyperscale campuses in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8–12 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with high voltage systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing or ability to obtain licensure.
• Deep expertise in medium and high voltage electrical system design and interconnection.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data center electrical infrastructure and redundant power architectures.
• Proficient with electrical analysis software: SKM, ETAP, EasyPower.
• Experience leading utility coordination and interconnection for large users (100+ MW).
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of high voltage systems for hyperscale data centers.
• Develop robust electrical system architectures optimizing reliability and scalability.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and coordination studies.
• Lead utility interconnection strategy for 100+ MW projects.
• Architect campus electrical distribution for multi-building data centers.
• Design utility-scale substations (69–230 kV) and related gensets/CHP.
• Mentor engineering teams and establish electrical standards and guidelines.
• Support business development with technical expertise and proposals.
