Job summary

JLL in the United States is seeking a Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer to lead design and engineering of critical electrical infrastructure for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities.

You will serve as technical authority on HV/mid-voltage power distribution, substations, and on-site generation, with duties spanning architecture, analyses, interconnection, and commissioning, while mentoring teams and engaging clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 8-12 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with high voltage systems.
• PE license in good standing or ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
• Deep expertise in MV and HV electrical design, substation engineering, and interconnection.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data center infrastructure and Uptime Institute standards.
• Experience with SKM PowerTools, ETAP, EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Lead high voltage electrical design for hyperscale data centers and critical facilities.
• Architect electrical distribution with 10-50+ MW per building and 2N/2N+1 redundancy.
• Oversee substation design and generation systems for campus deployments.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash analyses and protection coordination.
• Lead utility interconnection strategies and compliance with standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Support client engagements and project proposals with technical input.
• Help drive commissioning and field-implementation activities.
