Job summary

JLL in Houston seeks an experienced Senior High Voltage Electrical Engineer to lead design and engineering of critical electrical infrastructure for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities. This role requires deep HV/MV expertise and leadership from concept through commissioning.

You will guide system architectures, utility coordination, and engineering oversight, mentor teams, and engage clients on capacity planning and capital investments, with emphasis on reliability, safety,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
8–12 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in HV power systems.
PE license in good standing or ability to licensure in multiple states.
Deep expertise in MV (4.16kV-35kV) and HV (69kV-230kV).
Experience with data center electrical infrastructure and uptime standards.
Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, EasyPower.
Lead utility coordination for large power users (100+ MW).

Responsibilities

Lead design of high voltage electrical systems for hyperscale data centers.
Develop substations and distribution schemes for large campuses.
Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc flash analyses and protective coordination.
Coordinate interconnection studies with utilities and plan capacity.
Provide technical leadership and client guidance throughout projects.
Oversee design reviews and commissioning activities.
