This position has been created to support increased business needs and will play an important role in employee relations, compliance, performance management, workforce planning, and broader HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with both HR and operational leadership in a hands-on environment.

Job Description:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide both strategic guidance and day-to-day HR support across the organization. This individual will serve as a trusted resource for leaders and employees on workplace policies, employee relations, compliance, performance management, development, and other core HR functions.

The role requires strong knowledge of HR practices and the ability to work effectively in an industrial or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will help drive HR initiatives, support organizational development, analyze workforce data, and provide guidance on complex employee matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a senior HR resource for complex employee relations matters, including dispute resolution and formal proceedings.
• Conduct and oversee workplace investigations involving employment, policy, and compliance concerns.
• Partner with HR and operational leaders to address labor, regulatory, and employee relations matters.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders regarding performance management, employee development, and succession planning.
• Support the rollout of HR programs, process improvements, organizational initiatives, and change management efforts.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of employee personnel and compensation records.
• Help develop and implement HR programs related to staffing, performance, training and development, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
• Advise employees and leadership on company policies, HR programs, workplace expectations, and applicable employment regulations.
• Review HR metrics and workforce data, including turnover, timekeeping, and overtime information, to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Contribute to workforce planning and forecasting initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other HR professionals as needed.
• Take on additional HR projects and responsibilities based on organizational needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, including at least 3 years of HR Generalist experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional HR experience, including at least 2 years of Generalist experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, including at least 3 years of Generalist experience; OR
• Master's degree with 3 years of professional HR experience, including at least 2 years of Generalist experience; OR
• Master's degree with 4 years of related industrial or manufacturing employee relations experience, including at least 3 years of Generalist experience.
• Strong understanding of HR from both a strategic and hands-on operational perspective.
• Broad knowledge across core HR functions, including staffing, employee relations, labor relations, performance management, leadership development, and training.
• Ability to partner effectively with both HR and operational leadership.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
