Job summary

Precision Drilling Co. LP in Texas is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to align people strategies with operational goals across the West Texas division.

You will act as a strategic partner to leaders and employees, delivering proactive HR support and shaping workforce initiatives. Key focus areas include onboarding, performance management, labor law compliance, employee relations, and workforce planning with Operations to meet business and crew needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Expertise in employee relations, labor laws, compliance, immigration, and field-based HR support; oil and gas preferred.
• Experience with SuccessFactors, payroll processes, SharePoint, and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to influence and support stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills for complex employee matters.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leadership to manage onboarding, promotions, transfers, staffing, performance management, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations, labor law compliance, investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues.
• Support workforce planning and rig staffing activities by collaborating closely with Operations to meet business and crew requirements.
• Drive HR programs and initiatives related to compensation, talent development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement.
• Build strong relationships across the organization, provide strategic coaching to leaders, participate in special HR projects and other duties as assigned, and support critical employee and operational needs through an HR on-call rotation on weeknights and select weekends.

Day In The Life

• Partner with Operations leadership to manage critical employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, staffing, performance management, leaves of absence, and terminations

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with 10+ years of progressive HR experience
• Strong expertise in employee relations, labor laws, compliance, immigration, and HR support for field-based operations; oil and gas industry and experience with a drilling contractor is preferred
• Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central, payroll processes, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret policies, prepare reports, and manage complex employee matters with professionalism and discretion
