Job summary

Precision Drilling Co. LP in Midland, TX, seeks a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a strategic partner to employees and business leaders in the West Texas division.

You will align people strategies with operational goals and drive engagement, organizational effectiveness, and workforce success on site. You will lead employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning, while supporting compensation programs and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, labor laws, compliance, immigration, and HR support for field-based operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leadership to manage critical employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, promotions, transfers, staffing, performance management, leaves of absence, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations, labor law compliance, investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues.
• Support workforce planning and rig staffing activities by collaborating with Operations to meet business and crew requirements.
• Drive HR programs related to compensation, talent development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement.
• Build relationships across the organization, provide strategic coaching to leaders, and support critical employee and operational needs through an HR on-call rotation.

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to employees and business leaders, aligning people strategies with operational and organizational objectives across the West Texas division. DAY IN THE LIFE:

• Partner with Operations leadership to manage critical employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, promotions, transfers, staffing, performance management, leaves of absence, and terminations
• Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations, labor law compliance, investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues, ensuring fair and consistent practices
• Support workforce planning and rig staffing activities by collaborating closely with Operations to meet business and crew requirements
• Drive HR programs and initiatives related to compensation, talent development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and process improvement
• Build strong relationships across the organization, provide strategic coaching to leaders, participate in special HR projects and other duties as assigned, and support critical employee and operational needs through an HR on - call rotation on weeknights and select weekends

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field with 10+ years of progressive HR experience
• Strong expertise in employee relations, labor laws, compliance, immigration, and HR support for field-based operations; oil and gas industry and experience with a drilling contractor is preferred
• Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central, payroll processes, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret policies, prepare reports, and manage complex employee matters with professionalism and discretion
