Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Human Factors Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. This on-site role is available in Rancho Bernardo, CA, with possible support from El Segundo or Palmdale, CA.

The candidate will verify UX requirements, perform usability analyses, and contribute to HF documentation per US Military standards. Responsibilities include coordinating HF activities, planning workshops, and ensuring designs meet mission performance needs.

Qualifications

• BS in Human Factors or related field with 5 years experience, or MS with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1472, human factors surveys, test procedures, and/or test reports.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Support UX requirements verification through evaluations, tests, and demonstrations.
• Evaluate requirements per MIL-STD-1472 and HF best practices.
• Contribute to HF analyses like task analyses and usability studies.
• Plan and brief user-centered design events, including Design Thinking Workshops.
