Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Human Factors Engineer in Melbourne, Florida to ensure aircraft hardware/software usability for military crews. You will work within the Human Systems Integration team, bringing a strong systems engineering background to the HF analyses and documentation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design IPTs, requirements adherence, and HF process documentation to support DoD programs. A SECRET/Top Secret clearance is expected.

Qualifications

Degree(s) in a relevant field with years of experience as specified.
Background in Human Factors and systems engineering required.
Experience with military or DoD-heritage design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Support evaluation of requirements per MIL-STD-1472 and HF practices.
Contribute to Task Analyses, Usability studies and workload surveys.
Conduct NX-based and empirical accessibility assessments.
Document HF processes and products per DoD descriptions.
Collaborate with IPTs to address program needs and HF design.
Support Airworthiness artifacts and compliance summaries.
