AMD in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an HSIO Validation Engineer to validate high-speed interfaces across CPU and GPU platforms, collaborating with PHY design, firmware, and platform teams to ensure quality and readiness for next-gen technologies.

You will execute validation plans for PCIe Gen5/Gen6/Gen7, UALink, Ethernet, and other interfaces, develop automation, analyze signal integrity, and document findings for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in high-speed IO, silicon or system validation.
• Strong knowledge of PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, UALink, or similar interfaces.

Responsabilités

• Validate high-speed IO interfaces across CPU and GPU platforms.
• Execute validation plans for PCIe Gen5/Gen6/Gen7, UALink, xGMI, Ethernet and related tech.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and test teams to debug issues.
• Develop test automation and data analysis scripts to improve validation efficiency.
• Perform electrical- and protocol-level debug using lab equipment.
• Document findings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies and lab infrastructure.
