Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an experienced HSE Manager for our Fort Lauderdale project. You will lead site-specific EHS programs, coordinate subcontractor safety, and drive continuous improvement across health, safety and environmental processes.

The role requires 5–7 years in construction EHS, a CHST credential, and strong communication. Occasional travel is expected; position is on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; ability to prioritize and manage time.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a site-specific EHS plan with project management.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and audits.
• Conduct on-site EHS audits of site, equipment, and processes.
• Perform accident investigations and incident reporting.
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols and environmental monitoring.
• Administer Drug-Free Workplace policy and trainings.
• Provide weekly EHS updates to leadership.
