Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking an HSE Manager for the Cape Canaveral, FL project to lead health, safety, and environmental programs on site. You will develop and drive site EHS plans, supervise audits, investigations, and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• CHST certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective site-specific EHS plan, while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
• Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols and audits, including owner personnel on company projects.
• Coordinate quarterly on-site EHS audits and inspect project site, equipment and processes for compliance with regulations and policies.
• Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for review.
• Accompany injured employees to treatment and ensure EHS protocols are followed.
• Advise on Industrial Hygiene protocols; perform Environmental Monitoring.
• Manage Drug-Free Workplace Policy and testing.
• Provide training and education to personnel regarding EHS requirements, including new hire orientation.
• Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
• Provide weekly EHS updates to EHS Leadership.
