Job summary

DSM's Somerset, NJ site seeks a Health, Safety & Environment Senior Manager to lead HSE across all operations. You will drive robust HSE programs, guide compliance with OSHA standards and ISO 14001/45001, and partner with site leadership to build a proactive safety culture.

You will co-own the continuous improvement plan, analyze data, and support audits and regulatory interactions (NJDEP, CALOSHA). Travel about 25% to California is included in the role.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with regulatory agencies and industrial risk assessment.
• 5-10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing environment and Chemical Process Safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical skills and familiar with root cause and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE leadership across all site operations and teams.
• Drive and improve operational HSE processes, initiatives and campaigns.
• Co-own the site HSE improvement plan and ensure robust risk-based audits.
• Lead investigations of injuries/incidents and support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with NJDEP, CALOSHA and other regulatory bodies; lead ISO 14k/45k related activities.
