Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an HR Business Partner to align people strategies with business priorities across the Photonic Devices and Integrated Circuit Design units.

The role supports leaders in Fremont and Santa Clara, with a global population, and partners with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver practical HR solutions. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with two to three days on-site in Fremont and one day per week in Santa Clara, enabling engagement with cross-functional teams and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 6–10 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decisions.
• Experience in technology/manufacturing/semi environments preferred.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VPs and leadership to develop people strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Build relationships and understand organizational strategies, operating priorities, financial objectives, talent needs, and competitive environment.
• Translate business priorities into a focused people agenda covering workforce planning, talent, leadership, organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and change management.
• Lead or support workforce planning, organization design, succession planning, talent reviews, performance management, skills assessments, and employee development.
• Coach leaders and managers on leadership effectiveness, performance management, employee development, team dynamics, and difficult employee conversations.
• Partner with site and regional HRBPs to support Fremont, Santa Clara, and global client groups consistently and inclusively.
