Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to deliver strategic and operational HR support across multiple plant locations in the US and Canada. You will serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership and drive HR operations, including employee relations, talent management, and analytics.

This on-site role requires leadership to mentor HR Partners, manage union-related activities, and ensure policy compliance while fostering safety and employee development across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 yearsHR experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
• Ability to work onsite at assigned locations in an industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of employment and labor law; union environments preferred
• Proficient in HRIS systems (UKG) and data analytics

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant and operations leaders to deliver HR programs across the full employment lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide HR Business Partners at assigned locations.
• Oversee employee and labor relations, including terminations, performance management, and discipline.
• Support union contract negotiations and interpretations; handle grievances with guidance from leadership.
• Investigate employee complaints and participate in EEOC matters as required.
• Manage internal and external recruiting for plant openings and onboarding.
• Provide coaching on performance management and development planning.
• Analyze workforce metrics and present actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Promote safety programs and a culture of safety across sites
