Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Senior Manager, People & Culture to partner with Mission Critical project teams in Texas. You will lead performance management, employee engagement, and talent development while aligning HR services with Suffolk’s strategic objectives.

On-site presence is required four days a week at the Dallas office when not traveling to project sites. The role demands strategic HR coaching, data-driven decision making, and a strong focus on employee experience and retention

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 5-8+ years of progressive HR Manager or Business Partner related experience.
• Strong analytical skills to leverage data for HR programs.
• Proven strategic HR coaching skills with a track record of client service delivery.
• Hands-on approach, willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Track record of achieving results that contribute to the business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound business judgment with planning and problem solving.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Availability for regular field travel to project sites (up to 20-30%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner and build relationships with project teams.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards for P&C by handling inquiries.
• Own onboarding and offboarding for project sites and ensuring equipment readiness.
• Support relocation processes with Mobility team for new hires and transfers.
• Coach project leadership on leadership effectiveness and performance.
• Assist with annual performance management and talent reviews on-site.
• Assist with annual and quarterly compensation planning.
• Drive employee engagement across the employment lifecycle.
• Lead on-site employee relations resolutions and minimize risk.
• Conduct investigations and make recommendations with legal involvement.
• Lead change programs aligned to Suffolk’s priorities.
• Champion DEI initiatives for the project.
• Support broader HRBP team with company-wide programs.
• All other duties as assigned.
