UBC is seeking an Associate Director/Director, HR Business Partner for CRO Services. This role will partner with HR leaders and Operations to drive strategic direction, improve performance, and foster an engaging work environment across virtual locations in the USA.

You will build relationships with business leaders, coach executives, and lead HR initiatives from policy interpretation to succession planning, with a focus on engagement and compliance. Remote opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field required; Master’s or law degree highly preferred.
• 8+ years in HR management in high-growth environments.
• Data-driven with ability to translate metrics into actions.
• Experience leading change management, org design, and People programs.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders and global partners.
• Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Excellent coaching, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Ability to develop proactive employee strategies to build leadership and engagement.
• Attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Ethical judgment and inclusive approach to a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with business and functional leaders as main HR contact.
• Serve as HR liaison up to VP level and interface with all employee levels.
• Model leadership and drive positive workplace culture and change.
• Regularly update leadership on trends and workforce data.
• Provide coaching on policy interpretation, leaves, development plans, and terminations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Collaborate with Employee Relations and Legal on escalated cases.
• Develop workforce staffing plans with leaders and Talent Acquisition.
