Job summary

UBC is seeking an Associate Director/Director, HR Business Partner to drive strategic HR initiatives across CRO Services and partner with Operations leadership to enhance engagement and performance.

You will build trusted relationships with leaders up to VP level, coach on employment issues, and lead talent management, onboarding, and calibration discussions to ensure a strong talent pipeline and compliant programs. Remote/hybrid flexibility included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s or law degree highly preferred.
• 8+ years in HR management, preferably in high-growth environments.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Build solid relationships with business and functional leaders as the main HR contact.
• Provide coaching and guidance on employment issues including policy interpretation, coaching, leave of absence, and terminations.
• Review, interpret, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Partner with Legal on escalated cases and with Total Rewards on benefits and compensation policies.
