Job summary

Adventist Health Portland is seeking a senior HR leader to guide talent management, workforce planning, and change initiatives across an integrated health system. The role advises executive leadership on employee relations, organizational design, and strategic HR delivery.

You will oversee complex employee relations cases, ensure legal and policy compliance, and partner with clinical and administrative leadership to drive workforce strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Eight+ years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Verifiable experience in coaching, advising, and consulting with leaders on organizational issues and employee challenges.

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily operations of HR within assigned area/location of responsibility and oversees HR services.
• Shapes workplace culture and engagement strategies aligned with the mission and values.
• Develops and implements HR strategies, change management initiatives, and supports organizational transformation.
• Partners with network HR directors to foster collaboration across the network and guides complex employee relations cases.
• Ensures compliance with employment laws and mitigates HR-related risks in collaboration with legal/compliance teams.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
