Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead advanced HR Shared Services activities, ensuring process continuity and accurate data management. You will oversee HCM data and CRM, generate reports, develop SOPs, and mentor HR staff while collaborating with Benefits, Payroll, and IT to support institutional goals.

Partial remote work is available with onsite presence as needed; strong communication, analytical, and change-management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with three years of related HR experience.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and MS Excel strongly preferred.
• HR policies and compliance knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of regulations, provisions, and trends within their functional area.
• Develops and coordinates employee communications materials for distribution to employees and HR personnel via intranet and mailings.
• Develops and maintains accurate information within the HCM and HR Business Center CRM.
• Prepares and audits reports for institutional, internal, and external purposes.
• Gathers and analyzes information to support budget and planning processes.
• Reviews legislation for regulatory compliance as requested.
• Participates in third-party surveys.
• Develops, updates, and writes SOPs for functional areas.
• Develops strategic goals for change and acts as a change agent.
• Coaches, develops, and consults with employees and management.
• Facilitates meetings and/or events.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structures.
• Performs related duties as required.
