Job summary

Nilfisk seeks a Senior People Processes & Systems Specialist to lead HR operational support across the United States and Canada, handling employee lifecycle events and ensuring accurate Workday transactions. You will guide managers on policies, compliance, and employee relations while partnering with Payroll and Benefits.

Experience in HR operations within a multinational environment is valued; strong data integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist, HR Shared Services, or a comparable HR role.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment practices, HR compliance requirements, and employee lifecycle administration.
• Experience supporting HR processes across multiple locations or jurisdictions, with the ability to learn and apply Canadian employment requirements.
• Demonstrated experience supporting employee relations, performance management, corrective action processes, employee leaves, workplace documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Workday or a comparable HRIS, including employee transactions, records management, and reporting.
• Ability to independently manage complex HR operational matters, exercise sound judgment, and escalate when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations: independently manage onboarding, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, status changes, and separations.
• Leave, accommodation & absence management across US and Canada, ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial laws and local requirements.
• HR Compliance, Policies & Employee Records: maintain records, perform audits, and implement policy updates with HR leadership.
• HR Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement: use Workday for data integrity, generate reports, streamline processes and document SOPs.
• Regional Support & Special Projects: support HR initiatives across the Americas, focusing on US/Canada with opportunities for broader regional work.
