Job summary

Fibertek Inc. is seeking a Senior HR Operations Coordinator in Herndon, VA to support HR programs across R&D and Engineering Services. You will coordinate HR operations, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and employee communications for employees at headquarters, customer locations, and remote sites.

The role partners with HR leadership to automate processes, maintain HR records, and drive efficiency in employee lifecycle activities while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Approximately 3–5 years of progressive HR operations experience.
• Knowledge of HRIS configuration, onboarding, performance management, recruiting, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, and compliance.
• Employee Relations Ambassador experience preferred.
• Experience supporting employees and managers across multiple locations.
• Experience in government contracting, engineering, technology, or similarly regulated environments is a plus.
• Military experience working with government personnel on government facilities preferred.
• Security clearance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain HRIS system and assist with generating reports and analyzing HR data.
• Coordinate HR-related and technical training programs, including scheduling and reporting on activity and compliance.
• Enter and maintain accurate resource planning data in project/portfolio systems for effective planning.
• Provide HR operational support to employees and managers at headquarters.
• Help automate and maintain HR records, NDA records, and other HR documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with off-site employees to strengthen engagement with Fibertek.
• Communicate with HR leadership and PMs regarding remote employee needs and activities.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition initiatives, and company newsletters.
• Coordinate delivery of swag, equipment, and travel to remote employees as needed.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding activities and internship programs.
• Own career fair initiatives and attendance at events.
• Coordinate onboarding activities and benefits enrollment documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate employee offboarding documentation.
