City of Mesa seeks a Human Resources Administrator to plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate the day-to-day activities of professional staff involved in recruitment and selection, compensation and classification, EEO/AA, ADA accommodations, and other personnel matters for designated departments.

This role may supervise paraprofessional staff, oversee HRIS, onboarding, and drug testing, and requires sound judgment to interpret Personnel Rules and state and federal laws to department heads, staff,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
• Extensive (5+ years) professional HR management experience with at least 1 year lead/supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree in HR or Public Administration and/or PHR/SHRM-CP certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate day-to-day activities of professional HR staff in recruitment, selection, compensation, classification, and EEO/AA, ADA accommodations, and other personnel issues for designated departments.
• Supervise paraprofessional staff engaged in HR functions such as HRIS, onboarding, and drug testing; exercise judgment in interpreting personnel rules and laws.
• Lead projects with citywide impact; write comprehensive management reports; advise department heads and staff on personnel rules and laws.
