Job summary

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in HR and 4+ years in HR administration, including employee relations. This role supports leadership with performance concerns and impacts organizational culture through effective conflict management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
  • 4 years of professional HR administration experience, including 2 years in employee relations preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of EEO, affirmative action, labor relations, and HR laws.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as initial contact for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
  • Conducts interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of laws and regulations related to HR.
  • Assists with plans, policies, org charts, and employee handbooks.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.
  • Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs appropriate HR staff when additional investigation is required.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1, affirmative action plans, organizational charts, labor agreements, and employee handbooks.
  • Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues.
  • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
  • Advises all involved parties in a dispute with the goal of reaching a fair and amicable resolution that satisfies all parties needs.
  • Applies knowledge of business, legal, and industry best practices to help involved parties reach an agreement.
  • Works efficiently and promptly such that wage loss, interruption of business operations, ill feelings, and mistrust are minimized and mitigated.
  • Investigates and interviews appropriate staff and conducts necessary research to verify pertinent facts.
  • Actively listens to all sides of a disagreement; seeks understanding of undisputed facts, identifies areas of mutual agreement, and suggests possible areas for compromise.

Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Four years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.
