Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Senior HR Manager in Alaska to support multiple HR functions and drive strategic HR initiatives. The role requires communicating with senior management and cross-functional teams, applying HR policies, and guiding investigations and disciplinary actions.

The position emphasizes employee relations, data-driven HR analytics, and engagement activities. Prior experience in a large, multi-unit organization and a strong foundation in employment law are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
• Three+ years HR generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
• HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization.
• Content-knowledge regarding employment law, policies, procedures, and programs.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all Company HR related policies are applied consistently.
• Coaches associates and management through complex issues; guides disciplinary actions and on-site investigations.
• Oversees hourly recruitment and onboarding in MyOpportunity.
• Maintains and coordinates associate recognition programs.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
• Runs and reviews HR activity reports.
• Supports surveys interpretation/feedback processes.
• Attends manager meetings to increase HR visibility; conducts training and HR initiatives.
• Reviews requests for pay increases to ensure internal equity.
• Prepares and presents HR topics and training.
• Acts as diversity champion and leads diversity recruitment, retention and promotion goals.
• Assists in Personal Development Plans for associates.
• Participates in Annual Performance Appraisal process.
