The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is seeking a Human Resources Manager II to lead HR operations within the DOC Human Resources team. This role directs staffing, benefits, and training initiatives, ensuring compliance with state laws and agency policies.

It requires strategic oversight of position control, recruitment, and workforce development. You will supervise a team, coordinate with finance and legal, and drive improvements in staffing metrics, career pathways, and staff development

Formación

• Basic Purpose: planning, supervising, directing and coordinating human resources management, development or training programs in a state agency.
• Leads assigned agency HR operations, including position control, hiring approvals, staffing and talent acquisition, career development, and training coordination.
• Directs HR staff and program improvements in alignment with agency priorities and resources.
• Typical Functions: interpreting laws on HR matters, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and records.
• Budget planning, policy development, and approval of staffing changes within delegated authority.
• Leads HR staffing and talent acquisition activities and develops strategies to attract qualified applicants.

Responsabilidades

• Directs human resources, staff development, or training activities in all phases of an agency HR program.
• Interprets and applies laws and rules concerning HR management and staff development.
• Participates in preparation of agency budget and policy development.
• Manages classification studies, job audits, and recommendations on job classifications and organization structure.
• Oversees positions, PINs, funding coordination, and recruitment approvals.
• Leads staffing and recruitment metrics analysis to improve hiring outcomes.
