Coast Guard Community Services Command in Chesapeake, VA seeks an Assistant Director of Human Resources to lead enterprise-wide HR functions for a 1,400-employee non-appropriated fund workforce spanning CG Exchange retail and MWR operations. Qualifications

• Progressively responsible work experience in HR with knowledge of HR principles and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR information systems.
• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) within the first year.
• Experience in HR management and coordinating multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct enterprise-wide HR functions: classification, salary/wage administration, staffing, benefits, employee relations for 1,400 employees.
• Support pay equity, regulatory compliance, and workforce strategy aligned with Coast Guard objectives.
• Report to the Director of Human Resources and coordinate with CGX across locations.
