Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to partner with site leadership in Harvey, IL, delivering strategic HR support across talent acquisition, employee relations, coaching, and performance management.

You will lead projects, drive Lean/continuous improvement on HR processes, and collaborate across HR functions to align with Atkore's values and safety culture. This role requires strong communication, change leadership, and the ability to operate in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
• 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Excellent computer skills with ability to analyze information and create reports.
• Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues.
• Experience in a matrix environment is preferred.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early or off-shift hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage talent acquisition for salaried and hourly staff including recruiting and interviewing.
• Lead employee relations, investigations, and hotline processes.
• Support labor relations and grievance processes.
• Drive talent management, performance management, and succession planning.
• Partner with leadership to drive Lean and GEMBA activities.
• Provide HR solutions as a business partner across sites.
• Travel to alternate locations as needed to support HR activities.
• Collaborate with other HR functions to deliver quality support.
