Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to join the New Bedford, MA manufacturing facility. This role partners with leadership to guide talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR initiatives in a lean manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years HR experience, labor/union exposure, a related bachelor’s degree, and professional HR certifications. This on-site role offers a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 25+ years HR experience preferred.
• Labor relations/union experience required.
• Flexibility to come in early or work off-shift.
• Experience recruiting hourly and salaried employees.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
• Lean manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• UKG experience a plus.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to employee groups and lead HR solutions.
• Support new initiatives through communication and change management.
• Coach managers on employee relations and process improvements.
• Advise on collective bargaining and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Handle grievances with balance of advocacy and business needs.
• Oversee talent acquisition and retention to meet goals.
• Conduct workplace investigations and report findings.
• Report on HR metrics and deliver presentations.
• Drive engagement and alignment across the facility.
• Maintain affirmative action program and EEO reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws.
• Assist in developing new HR policies and programs.
