Vaco by Highspring seeks a Senior HR Generalist in Indianapolis to lead a broad range of HR activities—talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and compliance. The role is 100% onsite and supports leadership with strong HR programs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a broad HR Generalist role, working knowledge of employment laws, and a hands-on approach to improving processes and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of progressive HR experience in a broad HR Generalist role.
• Experience managing multiple HR functions in a small to midsized organization.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Experience with talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
• Strong ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding for warehouse, customer service, branch, and other non-driver roles.
• Process biweekly payroll and maintain compliant payroll records.
• Manage benefits enrollment and retirement plan administration.
• Conduct employee relations activities and workplace investigations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, COBRA, workers' compensation, unemployment, and FMLA requirements.
• Support process improvements and SOP documentation across HR functions.
