Job summary

Vicente's Supermarket is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to partner with the CPO and lead day-to-day people operations across all stores, with recruiting as a primary focus and responsibilities in HR administration, benefits, training, and compliance.

Based at the Corporate office in Brockton with regular travel to all store locations, this role supervises two HR Coordinators and drives continuous improvement of HR processes company-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4+ years of HR generalist experience across multiple sites.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll and benefits administration.
• Independent, organized, capable of leading processes end-to-end.
• Strong recruiting and onboarding capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for corporate, back-office, and store-level roles company-wide.
• Partner with store managers and directors on store-level hiring needs.
• Build and maintain vendor partnerships for talent pipelines and new-store openings.
• Own and maintain the online application system and oversee upgrades.
• Pull weekly applications reports by store location.
• Post roles in ATS and boost across boards like Indeed.
• Schedule interviews for corporate roles and coordinate panels.
• Maintain evergreen requisitions and continuous recruitment.
• Track pipeline status and report weekly to the CPO.
• Process new hire paperwork and maintain personnel files.
• Review time & attendance and support payroll close.
• Prepare Verification of Employment letters and manage terminations.
• Run monthly bench evaluations and consolidate mapping with leadership.
• Coordinate training logistics with the CPO.
• Manage enrollment and offboarding, including benefits.
• Partner on unemployment claims and ACA compliance.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations concerns.
• Conduct workplace investigations and document findings.
• Advise managers on policy-compliant handling of concerns.
• Support HR projects and organize team engagement activities.
