Job summary

Vicente’s Supermarket is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to partner with the Chief People Officer and lead day-to-day people operations across all store locations. The role focuses on recruiting, HR administration, benefits, training logistics, and compliance, with regular travel to store sites.

You will supervise two HR Coordinators, own the ATS, and drive pipelines, while ensuring accurate employee records, payroll support, and policy guidance across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field with relevant experience.
• 4+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally across multiple sites or retail.
• Hands-on experience with an HRIS/payroll platform (Paycor or similar) and benefits administration.
• Comfortable owning processes end-to-end with limited daily oversight and supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for corporate, back-office, and store roles; source, screen, interview, and coordinate offers.
• Partner with store managers and department directors on hiring needs across locations.
• Build and maintain vendor partnerships to support new-store openings and hard-to-fill roles.
• Own and maintain the online application system; ensure uptime and manage upgrades.
• Schedule interviews for corporate roles and run evergreen pipelines with panel reviews.
• Oversee HR administration, employee records, payroll support, benefits enrollment, and ACA tracking.
• Lead employee relations, investigations, and policy guidance with the CPO and CEO.
• Coordinate training logistics and cross-functional HR projects; support culture and engagement.
