Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join the Human Resources team at the Chicago plant. You will advise on HR policies, support recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning, and coach leaders to improve engagement and performance.

The role requires 6+ years of HR experience in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of employment law and payroll. Equal opportunity employer with strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business.
• Six+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, safety, benefits administration and payroll.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS.
• SPHR or PHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise employees and managers on HR policies and workplace concerns.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, staffing, and workforce planning.
• Coach leaders and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance and employment laws.
• Coordinate performance reviews, benefits, and leave.
• Promote community service activities and events.
