AUTOKINITON is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to support the plant-based HR function in Chicago, IL. You will advise managers on policies, manage employee records, and lead engagement initiatives in a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, training, benefits, and leave processes while ensuring compliance with employment laws. The role reports to the Human Resource Manager and is located at our AUTOKINITON Plant in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business; Master’s degree preferred.
• Six or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or operations.
• Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, safety, benefits administration and payroll.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• SPHR or PHR certification preferred.

• Advise employees and managers on HR policies, workplace concerns, performance, attendance, and corrective action.

• Champion colleague relations “fun activities” (ex. Plant Picnic, Christmas Party) and community service activities (ex. Blood Drive, United Way, etc.).
• Coordinate performance reviews, training, development, benefits, and leave support.

This full-time role is a part of our Human Resource team and reports to the Human Resource Manager.

Required experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, prefer in Human Resources or Business. Master’s degree preferred.
• Six or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or operations.
• Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, safety, benefits administration and payroll.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
