Job summary

Sutherland is seeking an experienced Senior HR Data Analyst to join our HR Analytics team. You will translate complex workforce data into actionable business insights, with strong emphasis on Workday report writing and advanced Excel data modelling.

You will build complex Workday reports and dashboards (Discovery Boards) and deliver reporting to guide decision-making across headcount, talent acquisition, retention, and compensation. Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

3-5 years of hands-on Workday Reporting writing and HR data analysis experience.
Experience with Workday Reporting - in Advanced, Simple, Composite, Matrix, nBox, Search, Transposed and Trending.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
The ideal candidate will transform complex datasets into meaningful visualizations and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

Analyze report requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
Provide recommendations aligned with Workday Reporting best practices and governance standards.
Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and Discovery Boards that provide actionable insights using Workday reports.
Develop Custom Reports: Advanced, Matrix, Dashboard, Composite and Trending reports.
Create complex calculated fields and nested logic to parse data requests.
Build interactive Workday Discovery Boards, worksheets, and executive dashboards.
Gather reporting requirements from HR, Payroll, and Finance to translate needs into builds.
Optimize performance by rewriting inefficient reports to improve run times.
