Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced HR leader to drive strategy, ensure compliance, and elevate employee engagement across departments. You will partner with leadership to shape policies, implement programs, and monitor performance and culture in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years of HR experience including managerial responsibilities, strong employment-law knowledge, and proficiency with HRIS and MS Office. This onsite position is based in Niles, MI and prioritizes strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage performance review processes and support leadership development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain HR records and systems, and generate reports for leadership.
• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
