Job summary

Austin Community College District invites applications for the Senior Director, Human Resources Center of Excellence (COE). This role partners with the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources to drive operational excellence across compensation, classification, workforce analytics, position management, and governance.

You will lead a team of HR professionals, shape scalable processes, and provide executive-level guidance to ACC leaders.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of HR operations, workforce planning, governance, and service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of compensation, job architecture, and classification principles.
• Analytical, data-driven thinker with systems thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to connect compensation, Position Management, workforce planning, and organizational design.
• Excellent executive communication, consultation, and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of Workday HCM, reporting, analytics, and related HR technologies.
• Understanding of college-level administration and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR Center of Excellence, establishing ownership, governance, and operating practices.
• Oversee compensation governance, job architecture, and classification processes.
• Direct Position Management, workforce planning, and related Workday workflows.
• Provide executive advisory support and strategic decision guidance.
• Partner with IT, Finance, and college leaders to improve systems and processes.
• Develop and mentor HR staff to build scalable capability.
